The Berndorf Youth Center in Austria (JZB) has been growing giant pumpkins since 2014.
The first pumpkins only weighed in at around 100 kg, but since then the growers from Berndorf have been able to continuously increase their weight.
Back in 2016, the JZB made it into the results list of a globally recognized GPC weighing event for the first time with 238.6 kg, specifically in Tulln at the Austrian Giant Pumpkin Championships.
GPC represents the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth and cultivates the hobby of growing giant pumpkins and other giant fruits worldwide by establishing standards and regulations that ensure fruit quality, fairness of competition, recognition of achievement, fellowship and education for all participating growers and weigh stations.

The JZB has been using the Overgrower since 2022.
Initially only for fertilizer processing (automatic adjustment of pH value & EC value).
But now also for controlling the complex infrastructure of their greenhouse!
So, back in 2022, a giant pumpkin of 588.5 kg was grown under the control of the OverGrower device

And in 2023, JZB again took two prizes at once:
- The first place went to the pumpkin fruit with a weight of 884,5 kg!
- The second place went to the pumpkin fruit with a weight of 720,8 kg!

«There are lots of fans, pumps, spray nozzles, heaters, etc. in the greenhouse tunnel.
Previously, we had to use separate control systems for all the devices, for example to automatically activate the cooling or set the lighting correctly.
